Terminated For Not Clocking Out

Can an employer terminate you for not clocking out of the time clock at the time which your shift ends without any other reason for termination?

You asked if an employer can terminate an employee for a petty reason.

An employer can terminate any employee for any reason so long as it does not violate a contract or discriminate against a member of protected class.
