Lanlord back for rent

If a lanlord allowed a home to be in serous disrepair and was taken before a judge who ruled in favor of the tenant, can the lanlord hire a laywer and go after the tenant leagally?

Yes he can. The question is will he be successful.

There maybe a claim you could make if the disrepair of the house violated the implied warranty of habitability. That is there was no heat in the winter. The roof was leaky. or similar problems. This may entitle you to some lessening of the rent due.
