This is not a simple question!!
The fact that you are asking it means that you need to speak to an attorney ASAP.
The basic rule is two years from the date of occurrence =
BUT exceptions may apply
- minors
- when you discovered the injury.
ALSO there are times that you need to take action sooner (suing the US government).
