Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Pennsylvania
Our son was just in the emergency room for a rash and all the symptoms related to lyme disease and they did not test for it, just a week after, he was diagnosed by his family doctor and is now on the proper treatment. From everything I have read it is a classic lyme disease case. Can we file medical malpractice for them not even testing for the disease in the first place since it does need to be caught and treated early?

What were your son's damages in that one week? Unless you can prove that the one week of delay resulted in some added injury to your son then any malpractice action is not going very far.
