Is a 1/3 settlement Attorney's fee a reasonable amount?

Not always. Often it should be 40%. The real issue is whether that attorney got you the right amount of money. Would rather pay a 1/3 fee to a lawyer who got you $10,000 or a 40% fee to a lawyer who got you $20,000?
