Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Pennsylvania

Mistake on Deed

My father transferred property into my name and his name, but the attorney that drafted the Deed made a mistake and put ''Estate of'' intead of ''In family Trust for''....

We transferred the property to my brother in law a couple of years ago,

Now he can't get title insurance to sell the property becuase the old Deed says Estate. Can we file an amended Deed

Re: Mistake on Deed

This is a title defect which should be able to be corrected by presenting appropriate information. you should speak with the title company to see what they need to correct the situation. If you would like to schedule an appointment with my office to discuss the matter you may contact me.
