Transfer of property from one spouse to another

If a common in law married couple transfers one half of a house they both own to the other do they have to pay transfer tax also can the notorizing of the deed by the two parties making the transfer have to be done by law in the attorney's office or can the parties take it out to have it notorized

Their is no common law marriage in Florida. One party may transfer their share by notarized and filed deed. Their is no tax.
