Legal Question in Tax Law in Pennsylvania

paid taxes to IRS for the salary I never received

I resigned from my employer in November 2000 so they did not give me salary for November 2000 but, they put this November 2000 salary in my year 2000 W-2 and I unnecessarily paid taxes to IRS in my year 2000 tax returns for the salary I never received. Pls. suggest me what should I do? How should I recover the November 2000 from this employer?

If you are entitled to the money make a demand on your employer and if that doesn't work bring suit in small claims court.

If you are not enmtitled to the money, get an amended W-2 form and file refund claims to recover the taxes.
