Legal Question in Traffic Law in Pennsylvania

I received a speeding ticket in Pa. for 48 in a 35. The officer indicated on the citation that he clocked me. I assume this means the cruiser's speedometer was used to determin my speed. How far does an office have to follow yo to get an accurate speed using this method. I was not traveling anywhere near 48 mph, because I saw the cop parked along side a church on the other side of the highway. I was actually watching my speed. I think he is a badge happy young cop who never saw anyone driving a 1974 Dodge Van before. I was NOT speeding ! Also this stop was made in a well known speed trap town,I travel through there daily and know this is a speed trap.
