Legal Question in Traffic Law in Pennsylvania

Can an unlawful act, cause a lawful act?

I recieved two citations for parking in my grandmother's driveway. Her neighbor had hung up some personal handicapped signs, and called the police, and I was cited without the police even coming out. Now, later I found out the citations were written on moving violation tickets, instead of parking violation ones. This caused my driver's license to be suspended, while waiting for my hearing,I was pulled over and informed of my suspension. Now i had another hearing to go to,I mistakingly pled guilty.I paid for an appeal,it was denied.I paid an attorney, he let my appeal window lapse.I started doing my own research,i found out if the city doesn't put up the handicapped signs they are not legal. So wouldn't my situation be illegal or unlawful?

So you did your research AFTER your case was over? And, you plead guilty?? To what??

PennDOT can't suspend your license for a parking violation, no matter what form it's written on. Apparently you were cited for something else.

And, you can't be cited for parking in a private driveway belonging to your grandmother, unless your grandmother wanted you cited.

Private people can't put up signs regulating parking or traffic. If the police cited you without coming out, then they would have to have the neighbor there to testify against you. That probably didn't happen either.

You HAD the right to appeal, but let it lapse. AND, your license is not suspended pending your hearing, it would be suspended after you're found guilty.

You also have the right to appeal the license suspension within 30 days of getting the PennDOT notice.
