How are inheritance taxes compiled, can a benificiary recieve their portion and pay them individuall in PA

Basically the tax is assessed on the net estate; which consists of the assets minus all the allowed deductions. Unless the will says otherwise the estate is liable for the tax. It is possible for a beneficiary to receive an asset & pay the tax due on the asset; but the safer choice is for the executor to pay.
