Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Pennsylvania

no will left by sister

Mother still living, but in nursing home. Two brothers remaining. One brother took it upon himself to enter the home and begin emptying it of valuables. Can he do this legally? If not, to whom do I take my complaint?

Any of the three of you can open an estate with the Register of Wills office in your county.

Distribution is controlled by PA laws of intestacy.

Disputes over estates are generally resolved in Orphans court.

I don't know what county you are in because you didn't list a zip code.

Good luck to you.
