Heart Attack on the clock

Is A heart attack while on the clock workmans comp. My employer did short term disability instead of comp. The stress in the past 3 years have been overwhelming. The CEO wanted me fired because i had made it known that overtime work required overtime pay. The New ceo just started and the fear of job cuts again on my mind. I'm single and 44 years old. Suffered a massive heart attack at 11 30 am. I had other stress also in my life but my job was the big one.

Re: Heart Attack on the clock

Sorry to hear about your myocardial infarcion. hope everything is stabilized.

If your heart attack occurred at work and was in response to exertion or unusual stress, you should be receiving workers' comp. depending on your employer, you may be eligible for heart and lung act benefits as well.

you are young and therefore social security disability may be difficult to obtain unless you have a number of other health issues indicated.

Call me if you have any questions.

Good Luck
