Legal Question in Workers Comp in Pennsylvania
income tax & compensation earnings
I have been on compensation for 9 mos. after an injury at work resulting in two surgeries. When I file income tax for 2008 what will happen? I only worked the first two months of 2008.

Re: income tax & compensation earnings
Workers' Comp payments are considered wage substitutes in some jurisdictions but not by the IRS.
Therefore, pay taxes on what was withheld. You do not have to report WC checks as taxable income.
Good Luck.
