Can an employer take PTO time away from you for being injured at work even if you have no vacation time to use?

I'm unsure of the answer to this. Indemnity benefits for lost wages are not paid for the first seven days in workers' comp, so if your employer is using paid time off to cover those days, I think the answer is yes.
