Legal Question in Administrative Law in Philippines

I'm Ronald, a faculty member of a Jesuit school in our town. It so happened that one night, I and my fellow teacher encountered a barangay kagawad on his sitio. This kagawad was once a college student of the school but was then dismissed prior to disobedience and violations of the school rules and regulations. Please note that I and my co-teacher were some of the instruments that led to his dismissal. Ridden on his motorcycle with a hitchhiker behind him, he approached the two of us as we walked along the way home. He began talking to my co-teacher in a sarcastic manner questioning her credibility as member of the disciplinary board. I couldn't take anymore what he's saying so I asked him to leave us. Then he shouted at me that I had no right to tell him that he must live.He arrogantly said that the place was his and he was in command there. Then he just said, "Fuck you" with his two hands in a "fuck you" sign. Many vulgar words were also said by him as he was somehow annoyed by my calling, "Kagalang-galang na Kagawad ___". In the end, he went down on his motorcycle and asked for a duel while scandalizing the residents in a supposed to be a peaceful night. I was dragged by my co-teacher not to fight the kagawad instead.

My questions are:

What possible cases can we file against him?

What if the barangay captain would favor him instead? Where should we appeal?

Please help me as he was the one who filed first a complaint against me. (I haven't read the complaint yet.) But for sure, I did no wrong. My colleague can testify to that. I would really appreciate if you could help me the soonest possible time as I will be summoned any day this week. Thank you and more power! God bless!
