Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Philippines

Personal loan of a person now dead

Good p.m. Are the children of a deceased person who has a personal loan to his kin e.g. sister liable or enforced to pay the principal with interest of the loan?

FActs:The sister just claimed and demanded from the children payment of the said loan of the deceased person without any written document / proof whatsoever.- Thank you.

It is hard to enforce a loan without a proof. But should there be a proof, it can be enforced to the heirs only to the extent of the inheritance passed on to the beneficiaris.
