Is it possible for a confidencial informant to invade one's reasonable expectation of privacy by wearing a electronic communication device to aid officers in making arrests?

Very doubtful. You have no expectation of privacy when speaking witb someone else. Unless of course that other person is you Dr., therapist, preacher, or lawyer.
