How can I stop legal action on a timne-barred debt in SC-debt occurred almost 5yrs ago and there is a 3yr statute in SC

You'll need to see an attorney about filing a motion to dismiss the suit. Whatever you do, don't neglect to answer or file some reply by the date provided in the summons and complaint. Missing that date can prejudice your rights.
