Legal Question in DUI Law in South Carolina

My son passed his test and blew under the legal limit for DUI so he wasnt worried about his court date. Well he was charged with DUI the judge told him he wouldnt lose his liscense...i guess DMV chose to supsensed them. He also told the judge ''no contest'' and the judge said he was showing that as a guilty plead. So now he has a guilty DUI charge! Is there any help for him?????
