I have a newborn son that was born in Charleston county but resides with his mother in bamberg county. Where do I go to file child support papers since I'm a Charleston county resident?

If you want to have child support calculated and an order to be put into place and you don't want an order establishing custody and visitation you would contact Charleston County Department of Social Services. If you want to file an action to get custody and visitation established as well as child support you would need to file an action in Bamberg County. You may want to contact a local attorney to go over your rights and responsibilities regarding your newborn child.
