Legal Question in Civil Litigation in South Carolina

I live in south carolina and was awarded a judgement on an assault case. What is the statute of limitations and how do I collect?

I assume that you sued the person and that is where and how you received the judgement? Your not talking about receiving an order from a judge for restitution are you? Its important because people confuse the two and both of them are handled completely different. If you truely have a judgement from a civil law suit, those can be very difficult to collect on. It would be too difficult to type out everything you would need to know as there is a lot to it. Plus, I don't have enough information about the defendant, which I would need to know in order to tell you the best way to proceed. My best suggestion is to have a one-on-one conversation with an attorney that can ask the necessary questions, obtain the information he will need to tell you what direction to take. I wish I could be more specific in my answer and tell you what to do, but I can't without more information. Good luck.
