Power of Attorney

Hello, I am power of attorney over my aunt who is 88 years old. She is in the nursing home. Her money is running out. I have applied for her to have medicad. When the money is gone. Am I responsible for paying her bills with my money, when she has no money. Do I need make the nursing home her power of attorney instead of me?
