Legal Question in Immigration Law in South Carolina

what if i am an american citizen but i am going to have a baby by a non citizen who has only a visa from honduras that is going to expire in the next year, and we are not married. what are the effects, or what can we do if we do not want to get married yet?

If you don't plan to marry this man, he has no legal basis for staying in USA after his visa expires (or period of admission expires, which is noted on his I-94 card in his passport). Unless he has some other eligibility grounds that you didn't mention in your question.

Having a USA citizen child would not give him right to stay in USA permanently.

If you marry him, however, and he came to USA on a visa, then you might be able to petition for his permanent residency in USA.
