Legal Question in Immigration Law in South Carolina

I filed an I-129F fiance visa for my fiance in the UK. We are planning to be married on March 28, 2010 but we've been told the visa may not go through until May. Are we still able to get married in March? Will he be allowed in to the country? If so, how long can he stay and will he have to go back? What other forms would we need to file.

You can get married in the USA when his Fiance visa petition is approved and a K-1 visa is issued to him. If you marry prior to that (either in UK or US), your visa petition will be invalidated.

Currently, it takes about 3-5 months for a I-129F petition to be approved, plus about a month to get a K1 visa at the US embassy in London.

On a K-1 visa, he can stay in USA up to 90 days, during this time period you can marry and then apply for his residency (green card) in USA.
