Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in South Carolina

landlord is wanting to selll the house

Our landlord said that an old realtor called her to say that she has someone that is interested in buying the house. Our lease is not up for 5 more months. Do we have to allow the realtor show the house when we are not there? We also have 2 dogs and a cat (inside only) that we paid a pet deposit and have no where to take them while the house is being shown. The landlord asked us to not be there while it is being shown, but that is not possible with my pets.

I would need to review your lease to advise. There should be a way to accomodate showings without disruption of the lease entitlements. I have been a LL 25 years.
