Legal Question in Personal Injury in South Carolina

Dog Attack

Our bichon frise was lying next to us at the edge of our garage in our driveway. All of a sudden, someone was walking their boxer who was not on a leash, the boxer came across our yard in a flash, snapped up our dog by the neck and began to flail him about like a toy. We are up to $500 in medical fees now and are not through yet. Is the neighbor, owner or the boxer responsible to pay these medical bills?

my thought is that everything depends upon the history of the attacking dog...if there wasn't notice to the owner of the dog's dangerous propensities, then you may have difficulty holding him accountable...this is one of those cases that requires some investigation to know the strength of your case...
