Legal Question in Personal Injury in South Carolina

minor childs parent

what do i do if i had to terminate a lawyer for failure to respond in any fashion,to my minor childs personal injury claim. now the lawyer tell me we owe him 300.00 an hour for service rendered plus med records. when i only took my child to the dr. three times,the lawyer says he has a stack of paperwork in his files that i have not seen.

Unless the fee agreement specifically states that the lawyer can charge an hourly rate and under what conditions, then he/she may be out of luck.
