Estate proposed financial distribution among heirs

Is it law/mandatory that you must pay the personal representative a commission of the estate? I know the law allows for it. But do you have to??

Sounds like this estate is in South Carolina so ask a probate attorney in South Carolina. Laws vary state by state.
