Legal Question in Appeals and Writs in Tennessee

In Tennessee does a judge have to wear a robe.

Here is my deal i had to go to curcit court showed up and court was held in a conference room.. The judge announced he had a DR appointment and he would not be late or miss his appointment. He said he would limit the back and forth. The judge sat relaxed with legs crosses suit jacket no buttoned and seemed very lax in his proffesional appearence. He did not wear a robe and said that we were in a relaxed enviroment so we were just gonna be casual.. The opposing party played a video of me in my own yard which is a violation of federal law to video me without my permission and then shpow it to people. I want to file a complaint agaginst this judge what do you think

I've never heard of a law in any state that would invalidate a judge's decision just because he wasn't wearing a robe when he made it. It's possible that some states require judges to wear robes. Tennessee might have such a requirement for all I know. But even if it does, the violating that requirement would not undermine the judge's authority.

I'm also not aware of any federal law against making the kind of video recording you describe. Even if whoever made it violated some law by doing so, that would not necessarily make the recording inadmissible. And if you failed to object at the time, then you probably can't complain about it now.

Finally, if the judge improperly considered evidence he should have excluded then your remedy is to challenge his decision either in his court or the appropriate court of appeal. Filing a complaint against the judge is unlikely to get you anywhere, based on what you have written.
