The Public Defender is not doing his job. Now what?

Depends on what part of his job he is not doing, but if you have complaints you have a number of options. 1) Hire your own attorney; 2) Inform the court of your concerns the next time your case is there, or even approach the clerk's office to see how you can get before the judge to make your complaint, or contact your attorney to ask the attorney to put the case in front of the judge so you can make your complaint and ask for a new attorney; 3) contact and speak with your attorney at his office; 4) write your attorney and set out your complaints/concerns and ask for a response; 5) talk to your attorney's supervisor about your concerns.
