Legal Question in Criminal Law in Tennessee
My husband is in prison on a murder charge. The witness was inconsistent in the statement that was made. Trying to get him back in court and drop his sentence down or free him as he was over charged and his character was bashed, i believe the judgment was made before ge even went to court. Please help

Talk to his attorney. There are strict timelines for post trial and appellate papers to be filed.
Specifically ask the attorney about:
Motion for New Trial
Appeal
Petition for Post-Conviction Relief
Writ of Error Corum Nobis (if there is newly discovered evidence)
But like it or not, except for absolute innocence, his chance to challenge a defective
conviction or sentence has fixed, and short, time deadlines.
