alimony responsibility
can you tell me if an alimony chancery order crosses state lines, or mexico? i.e...if i move to fla. , am i obligated to pay tennessee ordered ''alimony''? or mexico. or another state in the u.s.?

There are three types of alimony in the State of Tennessee, and all can be reduced to judgment. If the judgment is entered, then all other states, through full faith and credit, will honor the judgment and allow proceedings supplemental to collection thereof. However, due process requires notice and hearing and each state has its own laws concerning those requirements.
Mexico is a nation not bound by our laws; therefore, only a Mexican attorney can answer for you as to whether Mexico gives any nod to U.S.judgments. An educated guess is that Mexico does not currently honor such enforcement.
