Court proceedings after move
I have been divorced for 6 years. I would like to go back to change visitation and child support. They moved to TN from GA 6 years ago. Where will the next proceedings take place?

It will happen in the county where the custodial parent lives.

It depends on a number of things. Tennessee has passed the UCCJEA, which retains jurisidictionas long as one of the parties or the child still lives there. If the divorce was in Tennessee and you still live there, you would file in Tennessee. I would check with a Tennessee attorney to determine which ocunty it should be filed in, although if you are still in the same county where the divorce was granted, it probably would be there.
If the divorce was entered somewhere else and you still live there and if that state has the UCCJEA, the answer would be your state. If you both moved from the original state, it would be filed in Georgia in the mother's county.
