Legal Question in Family Law in Tennessee

Surveillance of person suspected of infidelity

Is it legal to assist my friend in monitoring her spouse's coming and goings? While making observations, I would be on public property (no trespassing involved). Since I live in the town where she suspects he is having an affair and I pass by several places he frequents, my friend has asked that I let her know when he home or at these other locations. Is this illegal in any way? My friend has also offered payment, if my spouse and I would watch him at the clubs (since he doesn't know us, it isn't like others that he would recognize). All she is asking is thta we observe who, what, when, and where to try and determine who he is involved with. He has already admitted infidelity and they are proceeding with a divorce.
