Family Medical Leave

I was told by my employer that my doctors appointments while pregnant were not covered under my FMLA. Is this correct?

It depends on the reason for the leave. Under the regulations, prenatal care is covered by FMLA leave time. However, it is drafted in such a way as to indicate that the leave may be taken for "a serious health condition that makes the employee unable to perform the functions of the employee's job."
