Legal Question in International Law in Tennessee

I am in the process of filing child support papers aganist the absent parent. However, the absent parent is planning on leaving the United States immediately to avoid prosecution. Is there a way to block him from leaving the country? They have not established how much he owes, but if he leaves, how long would the process be to extradite him back to the U.S. from Liberia? He lives in NC but the children are residents of TN

You cannot extradite a person from Liberia for non payment of the child support awarded by US court.

Unfortunately, if he leaves the country permanently, you may have no recourse. Or you may need to contact Liberian court and try to enforce the judgement of the US court.
