Legal Question in Personal Injury in Tennessee

Reasonable Settlement

I was involved in a car accident on nov 16, 2006. I was not at fault. From Dec 2006-May 2007 I was going to the chropractor. My medical bills came to a total of 7,000. The insurance company wants to settle at around 11,000 my question is how do i know if the amount the insurance wants to settle for is reasonable, I still have lower back pain

Re: Reasonable Settlement

You have several issues that need to be resolved before you think about settling your case. Who paid your chiropractic bills? They will have to be reimbursed from your settlement. There is a way to avoid doing that. $11,000.00 is not nearly enough for your injury. Did you ask for an impairment rating from your doctor? How about your past and future lost wages? How about your pain and suffering and property damage and the diminution in value of your vehicle? How about your loss of enjoyment of life from your injuries. These, and more, are the type of damages I can help you with. Please contact me at your earliest convenience here in Clarksville. Thanks.
