Legal Question in Traffic Law in Tennessee
Traffc ticket
I recieved a speeding ticket while driving through Sieverville in Dec '06
Since I live in NC and did not have the funds or knowledge of a lawyer in Tenn. I just paid the fine (this is the first ticket I have had in 15 years).
I recieved a letter from the DMV in NC stating that my license was being suspended for that ticket. I asked the DMV why after all this time would they suspend my license on this matter that I had taken care of and they stated that they just now (Feb '08) received the ticket info.
The lady I spoke with suggested that I try and have the ticket reduced in Tenn.
Is it to late to have the ticket reduced even though I already paid the ticket? What can I do about this? I was ticketed for doing 81 in a 65.

You need to contact a Tennessee attorney and have the case reopened.
