Legal Question in Business Law in Texas
My money, my rights
We signed up for a program over the phone with the option to cancel within 24 hours. We cancelled in 3 hours but they still received payment via bank draft. Now they are giving us trouble about returning our money. They are also refusing to let me speak to a senior member of the company and what I believe, they are stalling me from speaking to someone who may help. What if anything can I do about this?

Re: My money, my rights
First write to them and send the letter by certified mail, return receipt requested.
Second, you may want to contact the Consumer Fraud division of the Texas Attorney General's office, and file a complaint with them.
Third, you may file an action in Small Claims if the sum is less than $5,000 in issue.

Furthermore, you can also retain an attorney to send them a letter on your behalf.
