Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Texas
Can my company force me to take the elevator?
I work on the 4th floor and they force me to take the elevator at my job. The stairs would be faster and healthier, but the stairs are locked (you can go down, but not up.)
Of course, I'm the only one in the office that:
a. wants to take the stairs.
b. feels like it's my god-given American right to take them.
And of course, they refuse to accommodate my request for stair access.
Is there anything I can do about this? I need the exercise.
If you are confined to a wheelchair, you have the right to an elevator. If you have two legs, you have no choices? What is this?

Re: Can my company force me to take the elevator?
I hope this is the biggest issue you ever face. Try getting your exercise elsewhere. I am restraining myself from commenting on your comparison to a wheelchair bound individual only because I am giving you the benefit of the doubt in the hopes that you are merely submitting this ludicrous question because you labor under the misapprehension that it is in some way humorous.
