I was in jail when I got out all my belongings were sold or giving away ...how to get it back

If they are gone, they are gone. You should have made arrangements to have someone get them while you were in custody. If they were sold, you should be given the money. You can write the seller a demand letter and send by certified mail, return receipt requested, asking that you be given your property and the money by X date (10 days after receipt) or you will report the theft to police (although the cops probably will not even try to pursue charges in this situation.)
