Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Texas
Slander
There is a web page saying i was arrested on a certain date and this is not true i have never been arrested. I have just started a job as an air traffic controller with the faa and am on a 1 yr probationary period. i have talked to the editor of the page and he refuses to take down the information. i have also contacted the detectives working the case and there are no such documents implementing me in such an incident. what are my options here?

you need a lawyer to file suit for defamation/libel and to enjoin the webpage from keeping the accusation on it's web, for damages...and you must be prepared to pay an attorney a substantial retainer as all that you have is your work against the web...pluc the attorney needs to be ready to spend money for investigation/depositions etc..call us if you want our help
