contract binding

If you sign a contract for a house to be constructed and your bank shows that the contractor does not meet requirements of the bank can the contract be broke or do you have to go to another bank.

Look to your contract; it hopefully addresses this issue somewhere. Typically contracts are made contingent upon getting financing. You may have to try a few more banks, but they will probably take the same positions so that shouldn't take long.
