Legal Question in Construction Law in Texas
contractor left job unfinished
Our contract states that money is drawn as needed. Our contractor wanted the rest of his money but has only finished 50-60% of the work. He has taken all of his tools. Our long do we have to wait before we can continue the work ourselves.

If the contractor has informed you that they are not going to return to finish the work, then you can consider them in breach, assuming your interpretation of the contract and facts is correct, and have the work completed by another contractor, unless your bonding company instructs otherwise.
