Legal Question in Construction Law in Texas
Default Judement
I was given a Default Judement in a case where i fail to appear;because I am in the process of filing bankruptcy. Today I receive a notice of deposition pretaining to this case. I thought that it was over and all I need to do is make some future arrangements to pay

Re: Default Judement
After you have filed your bankruptcy action and notified the parties of the bankruptcy filing, your deposition is off. As a matter of courtesy to the creditor, you would save everyone a lot of expense if you went ahead and filed the bankruptcy before the deposition. Telling the creditor's lawyer that you "intend" to file bankruptcy means nothing, because they hear that all of the time.
