Business fraud
I paid 4000.00 as a deposit on iron staircase in Feb. 2006 I have not recieved delivery as of 9/16/06 and company will not return my calls. What are my options

Well, you could sue them in JP or small claims court for recovery of your deposit plus attorneys fees for a maximum of $5,000. Are they still around. You said they were not returning phone calls, so I guess they are. Or, you could sue them in County Court at Law or District Court for the entire amount of your damages. The question to be answered is -- Can they pay the judgment - either in JP court or higher courts?
