Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas
Christmas package not delivered
My son mailed a package before Christmas which never reached its destination. He did not get insurance on it but the contents were valued at around $100. The store was going to ship it through DHL. He received a tracking number which he looked up and it said ''Contact DHL.'' DHL claims they never recieved it and the ''store'' says that DHL picked it up. What would the procedure be in this case to get some resolve. I appreciate any direction you could give me for my son to handle this.
Thank you.

Re: Christmas package not delivered
That's a sticky situation, and your son is best going after the store. If DHL did, in fact, pick it up and lost it, they are only liable for $25.00 per pound of freight.
He should stop by the nearest Justice of the Peace and get information on filing a suit in Small Claims. Then go from there.
