Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas
Fraudulent misrepresentation buying a house
About 6 months ago I bought an 80 year old house from a realtor. I was told by the realtor that the house was connected to city sewer. It was inspected by a HUD inspector who said it was also on city sewer. The seller said it was connected to city sewer. ON the disclosure form though, the seller said he didn't know. The house listing said city sewer. About 2 months after buying the house, I moved some concrete blocks behind the house and found two decaying brick septic tanks, both full. BOth original. The city said that the house cannot be connected to sewer due to its location. Complaints to the seller and realtor have gone unanswered. What can be done? What are my options?
