Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas
tuition refund
I recently attended a private graduate school. The quality of instruction was quite poor and I even talked to administration about fixing the issues. They kept promising to fix the issues, but never did it. I finally made the decision that I wasn't getting my money's worth and withdrew from the school. Can I get a refund of my tuition money? I also didn't work during this time and used student loans to support myself. Am I entitled to the refund of the loans I received as well since I would have worked if I hadn't been going to school full-time?

No, and no. You might have a case for a lawsuit under the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices/Consumer Protection Act (DTPA) but you'd have to show that what they advertised wasn't what they produced.
